Half Price Day in a Huntsville Neighborhood

This one was a hike to my parents' neighborhood in Huntsville — half price day at an estate sale in a brick ranch set back from the road under a good stand of pines. By the time I got there, the place had been well worked over. That's the gamble with waiting for the discount.
Still, a few things made the trip worthwhile. The standout is a 1957 Glomerata of Auburn — the Auburn University yearbook, hardbound in dark cloth with the year printed on the cover. There's also a silverplated covered serving dish with a decorative ring handle, showing some patina but solid. A small pressed-glass lidded candy dish rounded things out on the table side. The stack of small pamphlets in the middle of the haul photo are Little Blue Books, the kind that were printed in large runs for general readership — there are quite a few of them, and a couple of titles are just barely legible on the covers.
Not a heavy haul by any measure, but there's something in each of these worth passing along to the right person. Keep an eye on the shop as they get listed across our marketplaces.
