An estate sale weekend in Jacksonville
This one came from a two-day estate sale on Fairway Drive in Jacksonville, Alabama, held out of a stone-and-shingle house tucked back under a lot of trees. The listing just called it a complete home full of unusual pieces, and after loading up the car, that tracks.
The haul leans heavily toward paper. There are hardback hymnals and religious education books, a copy of Gospel Parallels, and a stack of loose tracts and pamphlets. Mixed in with those are clipped comic pages, some old magazines, and a set of papers and clippings related to the moon landing. One of the more eye-catching pieces is a rolled panorama print of Jerusalem, long enough that it stands on end.
