Delta, AL Estate Sale

We drove out to Delta, Alabama on Friday for an estate sale right on Highway 9, run by Treasure Harvest Estate Sales & Liquidation. The listing promised vintage items, and the house itself was a green ranch-style place tucked back under some big trees, with crepe myrtles blooming on either side of the yard.

What we brought home leaned bookish and paper-heavy. There's a hardback "Our Family Tree" history book, a spiral-bound "Mel's A-Cookin'" cookbook, an old copy of "History Stories of Alabama" with a worn cloth cover, and a white boxed Holy Bible. Alongside those, a small pocket watch, a glass ashtray advertising Westinghouse and what looks like the New Anniston Electric Co., and two old Alabama license plates marked "Heart of Dixie" — one dated '65 and one dated '66.

We didn't come across the quilts or furniture mentioned in the sale listing, but there was plenty else to sort through. As always, items will be listed as we get them cleaned up and photographed — keep an eye on our shops across eBay, Etsy, Poshmark, Mercari, Depop, and Whatnot as they come online.

Update: Later went back and purchased a vintage Coke case full of vintage Coke bottles.
