Framed Warner Sallman Head of Christ lithograph print by Kriebel & Bates, with the printed Sallman signature and 1940 date at lower left and "Copyright 1941-1968 Kriebel & Bates, Litho. in U.S.A." at lower right. Linen-texture finish, in a dark embossed wood frame under glass, about 21 x 24 inches framed. Used; the frame has wear and scuffing at the edges and the glass has dust and spots, with a water stain on the backing board.

Sallman's 1940 portrait is one of the most reproduced religious images of the 20th century and a familiar sight in churches and Southern homes. This one comes in an older carved-look wood frame with a hanging hook on the back.
