About this piece
Original 1927 advertisement for Marchand's Golden Hair Wash by Charles Marchand Co., 220 West 42nd St., New York. Carefully removed from a vintage 1927 publication; it measures about 5.25 x 3.75 inches. Light even toning and small binding holes along one edge; the ad runs to the bottom edge, so the lower floral border is partly cut off.
"Golden Hair A-Gleam" — a halftone portrait of a woman with flowing, billowing hair stretched across the top of the ad beside a bottle of Golden Hair Wash, framed by roses and daisies, with copy about the famous Paris-trained chemist Marchand.
A lovely beauty ad for vanity and hair-care collectors, salon decor, framing or junk journals.
