About this piece
Original 1927 advertisement for Allen's Vita Hair Color Restorer by Mark W. Allen & Company, 2109-2117 Second Ave., Detroit, Mich. Carefully removed from a vintage 1927 publication; it measures about 5.25 x 3.75 inches. Light even toning, small binding holes along one edge, and a small gray dot in the top margin.
"Why Have Gray Hair?" The ad shows a halftone of the Mrs. R. W. Allen's Vita bottle and its box, promising color restored to gray or faded hair in 3 days — "Clear as Water," no odor, no sulphur, no lead — sold at drug, department and hair stores.
A good hair-care piece for barbershop, salon and cosmetics collectors, Detroit advertising, framing or junk journals.
