A lot of 3 Douglas County, Omaha, Nebraska Motor Vehicle Tax statements, taxpayer's copies, two dated 1965 and one 1966, all issued to the same Omaha resident and made payable to Sam J. Howell, Treasurer. Each is about 10.3 x 4.4 in. with a receipt validation stamp and signature at the bottom and carbon backing on the reverse. Condition: folds, light wear and handling, with a small chip at one top corner of the Ford statement.
• 1966 statement, green print, for a 59 F.M. boat trailer, receipt validated JAN 27 66, listing passenger car license plate and city wheel tax amounts.
• 1965 statement, blue paper, for a 59 boat trailer with two wheels, marked 6 months at 50 percent dated 7/28/65, validated JUL 29 65.
• 1965 statement, blue paper, for a 65 Ford, validated FEB 4 65.
Each form reads "As Provided by LB 165, 1953 Legislative Session" with the Do Not Detach seal and the instruction to return the receipt to the assessor for refund or credit. A nice small group of mid-1960s Nebraska county paper for local history, Omaha, tax and automobilia collectors.
