It was compiled by Elder Len Dalton and Helen Denman Beauchamp and published by Baptist Trumpet, Inc., Song Book Division, Midwest City, Oklahoma, copyright 1961. It is a softcover with an orange leatherette-grain cover and side-stapled binding, with printed music for each hymn. Condition: a previous owner's name in pencil on the cover and in ink on the title page, faint pencil initials, light soiling, edge rubbing and a small chip near the top right of the back cover.

The hymns include classics such as Isaac Watts' "Show Pity, Lord." This is a working congregational songbook from the Primitive Baptist tradition.
