About this piece
Original 1927 advertisement for Morse's Laxa-Pirin, "For Colds, La Grippe, Headache and All General Pains," distributed by Hoosier Remedy Company, Inc., Indianapolis, Indiana. Carefully removed from a vintage 1927 publication; it measures about 5.25 x 3.75 inches. Light even toning and small binding holes along one edge; the bottom edge shows a sliver of the next ad's border.
Illustrated with a woman struggling against wind and rain under her umbrella and two small cartoon faces of miserable sufferers. The copy pitches an aspirin combination tablet, made without quinine, that doubles as a mild laxative.
A fun patent medicine piece for pharmacy collectors, Indiana history, framing or junk journals.
