About this piece
Real photo postcard (RPPC) of a large white frame church with a tall Gothic-style spire topped by a cross, pointed arch windows and a dark roof, standing beside a dirt road with a fence line, a white house at left, trees, and a few figures near the entrance. No caption or place name appears on the front or back, so the location is unidentified. Standard 3.5 x 5.5 in, unposted. Good vintage condition with light toning, small spots on the white border, a stain spot on the back, and light edge wear.
Back: printed POST CARD heading with "Correspondence Here" and "Name and Address Here" divided back. AZO stamp box with triangles pointing up in all four corners, the pattern commonly dated to about 1904-1918. No writing, stamp or postmark.
A sharp early real photo view of a country church for collectors of church architecture, RPPCs and rural Americana.
